Meet Todd Edmundson: The Interline Cruise Specialist Behind KTE Interliner

Todd Edmundson has booked over 1,000 interline cruises for airline and cargo carrier employees and their families. Interline cruise pricing isn't a side offering for him — it's the entire business.

We sat down with Todd to talk about how KTE Interliner got started, what 15+ years in this niche actually buys a client, and where the business is headed next.

How KTE Interliner Started

It started with Todd's wife, Katie, a flight attendant. Through her, Todd saw firsthand how many airline employees had access to deeply discounted cruise rates and had no idea how to use them — or didn't know the benefit existed at all. Coming from a tech background rather than a travel background, Todd approached it like a product problem: build the pricing infrastructure first, then the process, then scale.

That became KTE Interliner. Todd, Katie, and Brittany Smith run it together as a distinct brand alongside the parent agency, Interliner, led by Paul McNeill. Todd is one of the top three agents in that agency, and what started as something he and Katie built on the side is now a full-time specialty with over 1,000 bookings behind it.

Recognition

Todd earned a 2024 Top 100 Travel Advisor designation and holds Virgin Voyages' Gold Tier First Mate Certification. He's licensed as a seller of travel in New Jersey and Florida under KTE Travel LLC.

What Experience and Technology Buy a Client

Todd runs a daily pricing feed covering roughly 18 cruise lines and 1,400 sailings, audited every day so quotes are built on current data rather than a guess. He built the tools himself because nothing off the shelf was designed for this niche — when a rate drops or a booking window is closing, he knows before most people would think to check.

Expanding to Cargo Carriers

Todd is actively working to make sure cargo carrier employees — at FedEx, UPS, and DHL — know that interline cruise benefits exist for them too, not just passenger airline crews.
